What can you expect from The Pen of a Ready Writer? Hopefully, I can offer a lot of encouragement, direction on ways to approach writing creatively, a peek into my journey as a self-published writer, and some confessions. So settle in, pull up a chair — no, not that one — yes, that one, the big cozy purple chair in the corner, even my kitties love that one and enjoy the ride.

Why This, Why Now

I desire through The Pen of a Ready Writer to connect to first-time writers and seasoned writers who need direction, encouragement, and a cheerleader. I’d like to present to you the freedom of self-publishing. No social media following, tight budget — it can be done. The goal is to get your story out for the world to hear!

What about formatting, editing, illustrations, book covers, etc.? Many questions, so little time, it seems. I’m here to tell you, you can do it! And if you’d rather not, you can hire someone. Finally, a peek into a writer’s world — the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This newsletter is a bit of an expansion of my book, Getting Unstuck: A Guide to Self Publishing and the encouragement of the best business partner ever- God!
