Welcome, dear wanderer, to the Temple of Imagination.
You have arrived to the Temple of Imagination.
Please leave your shoes to the cat, they will take care of them.
Now, at this temple we have some rules but they like to run around so you may not always find them in one fixed place. If you see one, just wave, they'll find their way back to you when you need them.
I heard you are staying here for quite some time, that’s good. Imagination is not to be taken lightly, you see.
It also tends to evolve the more time you spend with it.
It likes different spaces too. Don't worry, you’ll soon learn what your imagination likes best the more you spend time here and partake in the activities.
To the right you’ll see the zen gardens and the libraries. To the left there is the game area and fort-building hall. You’ll be provided with all manner of pillows, blankets and fairy-lights that you require - of course.
The kitchens are also equipped with every ingredient you can think of, and some that you can’t think of so go wild with that too.
It’s important that you eat a steady diet of imagination for your imagination to grow big + fluffy + resilient. The portal room can take you to books, movies, scenery, music, clubs, restaurants, side-alleys and on and on. It’s wide and varied because what inspires and nourishes is never a fixed thing.
The most important thing you must remember is to engage in silliness frequently.
Imagination loves silliness. It takes it very seriously.
Dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. Full-belly laughter. Letting everyone in on the joke. Dancing. Singing.
Delight and enchantment is a potent fertiliser.
And believe.
That your imagination is real. That it is powerful. That it can do amazing things.
Welcome again, the Temple is open to you now.
Enjoy.

I'm Giulia - imagination facilitator, writer + possibility finder.
I'm one of the custodians of this temple, though really it's not owned by any one or thing. It's more of a conceptual spiritual home that each of us carries within us and contributes to.
I love video games (story-rich rpgs + cosy management), fantasy novels (all kinds), train travel, learning languages + finding the perfect bowl of noodles.
I believe that a world without delight + enchantment is not one I want to live in, and I believe that despite the fear of the current situation we exist in - there is still so much wonder and joy to be found.
And not just found - but made + cultivated + grown.
By us.
The imagination rebels that think differently, that can envision a different future, that can turn ideas into reality and allow the connective tissue of laughter + delight be a guiding beacon for what next steps to take. For those that want to believe there are other ways, more paths, more choices, more possibilities than the ones directly in front of us.
You are right, and together we can nurture them.
WORK TOGETHER
the next step - a gentle cut through of overwhelm:
Overwhelmed by the noise + fear of the current world we live in and wishing that there was more wonder + delight to soothe the aches and counteract the despair.
We need makers of magic now more than ever, and you have something you wish to create.
And you want to do it with afternoon naps, laughter + satisfaction, without burning yourself out.

A letter filled with things delighting me lately that I
think may delight you also. Such as my favourite ramen restaurant in Tokyo. A particularly good chicken soup recipe. The latest game I'm playing. Things that inspire creativity, joy + imagination. Also the place where I share what I'm up to or putting out in the world.
