Is your child ready for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check?
The Year 1 Phonics Screening Check is a short test used to check your child's understanding of the phonics taught so far. It is given to every child in Year 1 in England in June of the Summer Term.
Date: Week commencing Monday 10 June 2024 Activity: Phonics Screening check week
During the check, your child will read 40 words- a mix of real and fake words. The check helps schools to identify any gaps in your child's learning and plan to support them.
