Letitia Violet

author of fantasy stories with sapphic elemental witches

an illustrated image of Letitia Violet and her orange cat Jester, she is wearing a black witchy hat with a pink flower and a pink sweater whole holding a hot chocolate, they sit in a cosy room with books and a fireplace

Letitia Violet šŸ’œ is currently writing sapphic high fantasy with her feline co-worker named Jester as she sips her hot chocolate. Or she could possibly be laying on a picnic blanket on the grass, cosying up to a good book instead.

Her brain is filled with chaotic cats so she has three Substacks to cater to them all.

🐱 Chaotic Caturday Column is her random life updates.

✨ Meraki: The Magic We Leave Behind is her serialised fiction set in her elemental magical world.

šŸ Pride and Poutine Passport is where the chaotic cats like to infodump over hot chocolate about all things Canadian history, particularly about queer people and women.

She writes about the random sapphic stories from her head because her local dating scene is void of a Kristen Stewart or a Penelope Featherington so she needs to get her HEA somewhere. She infodumps to Substack because her friends are tired of hearing about the misrepresentation of corsets in most media.

Will you grab yourself a hot chocolate and find your favourite cosy spot, so we can chat about random historical facts and fantasy worlds? Just be careful, Jester likes to knock mugs over when he isn’t climbing onto your shoulders

Jester

Jester the Cat 😺 is Letitia Violet’s excitable feline co-worker, best known for his impressive ability to knock over hot chocolate mugs and liquify to find innovative reading spots.

When he’s not supervising writing sessions (aka running across and standing on the keyboard), you can find him causing delightful chaos. Whether it’s chasing imaginary foes, climbing onto unsuspecting shoulders, or plotting world domination from a stack of fantasy books.

He fully supports Letitia’s quest for the perfect sapphic love story, mostly because it means more quiet reading time (and treats). Jester’s favourite pastimes include interrupting infodumps with dramatic mysterious crashes and ensuring no shoulder stays cat-free for long.

So, will you join the fun? Grab a hot chocolate, settle in with a book, and don’t mind Jester. He’s just making sure you’re in the perfect position for a surprise pounce.

Let's make it a purr-iority to stay in touch!
